Emma obtained BSc (Hons) Genetics at the University of Glasgow. She also completed her PhD at the University of Glasgow under the supervision of Dr Ruaidhrí Carmody, where she investigated site specific phosphorylation of the transcription factor NF-κB. Emma joined the Klose lab as a postdoc in May 2019 to begin developing synthetic systems to study CpG island biology.
