Emilia Dimitrova, Post Doctoral Research Scientist

Emilia is originally from Sofia, Bulgaria. She did her undergraduate in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Jacobs University Bremen, Germany, where she investigated the binding specificity of histone modifying enzymes in the laboratory of Prof. Albert Jeltsch. Emilia did her PhD in the laboratory of Dr Sarah Elderkin at the Babraham Institute, University of Cambridge, studying the role and recruitment of polycomb complexes during neural stem cell differentiation. Emilia joined the Klose lab as a post-doc in 2013 and is interested in the role of Kdm2 proteins in transcriptional regulation.
